Microsoft 365 Integration

Most organisations do not have a records problem, they have a records location problem. The contracts are in SharePoint, the working files are in OneDrive, and the decisions that matter are buried in Outlook threads. Moving all of that into another system just to govern it has never been realistic.

Our development team has been working hard on the connecting IG Central natively to Microsoft 365. Classification, retention and disposition come to your content, not the other way round.

What's new on as of 13th July

Single Sign On

IG Central now supports Microsoft Entra ID sign-in alongside Google. Your team uses the accounts they already have, protected by the policies your tenant already enforces. One click on "Continue with Microsoft" and they are in.

OneDrive and SharePoint, governed in place

Connect a OneDrive account in seconds with a standard consent popup, or connect SharePoint at the organisation level: an admin grants consent once, then you pick a site and a document library and it appears as a source.

From there, igcentral treats Microsoft 365 content exactly like everything else it manages. Browse libraries, register documents for classification, and let the AI pipeline do what it always does: identify what each document is, extract the metadata that matters, resolve the correct retention policy and file it under the right record code. The files never leave Microsoft 365. Monitored folders are watched continuously, so new documents are picked up and classified automatically within minutes of arriving.

Disposition works in place too. When a retention schedule calls for a transfer, igcentral moves the file within your Microsoft 365 estate as part of the disposition workflow.

Outlook: because email is where records hide

Email is the most under-governed record type in most organisations. igcentral now connects Outlook mailboxes as first-class sources. Messages are captured as records, attachments become linked child records, and both flow through the same classification and retention pipeline as every other document. New mail is polled automatically, and anything encrypted is flagged for review rather than silently skipped

One more quality-of-life change shipped alongside this release: the sources list now updates in real time. Connect a drive in one tab and watch it appear everywhere else, instantly, with live health indicators

Where this fits

IG Central already classifies and governs content from Google Drive, Gmail, local storage, S3 and network shares. Microsoft 365 support completes the picture for organisations that live in both worlds, or are moving between them. Same taxonomy, same policies, same audit trail, wherever the documents actually live.
